Deer Trail Teas Story
Jourdaine Wedll is a Native entrepreneur from Garrison, Minnesota, and the founder of Deer Trail Teas, an herbal tea business rooted in Indigenous knowledge and sustainable practices. After graduating from the Mille Lacs Tribal Economy Business Incubator Program, he launched the venture to share the benefits of wild-foraged and organic teas with his community and beyond.
Operating from the Mille Lacs region, Deer Trail Teas offers a diverse selection of herbal blends, including wild mint, strawberry leaf, chaga, and puffball mushroom teas. Jourdaine sources many of his ingredients locally, often foraging them himself, and sells his products at local farmers markets, such as the Brainerd Farmers Market.
Deer Trail Teas is more than just a business; it’s a reflection of Jourdaine’s commitment to cultural preservation, environmental stewardship, and community well-being. Through his teas, he aims to promote health and wellness while honoring the traditions of his heritage.
